Newspapers, weekly papers, free papers u.a.m belong to it. For the seasonal start full-page special sides wake up the desire in dawdling and give a complete overview above the markets of the next year and of course Melan is also represented in all relevant branch media.
Leaflets and appointment calendars in high editions are distributed at the markets and inform about the topical news from the house Melan.
The logo "Melan Macht Märkte" shines red-yellow from all vehicles, office trolleys, from firmly installed advertising boards at the marketsites places and adorns jackets, caps and shirts of the Melan employees.
And of course the Internet is available as an advertising platform 24 hours for trader and visitor.
So thousands of visitors find week after week their way to the Melan Markets in the whole federal territory. A massive advertising appearance from which you profit as a trader directly!

Afflictions and suggestions

If you are discontented or have a suggestion how could things run a little better? During the opening times of our reservation office we will accept your discomfort and suggestions under in 0241-18 95, 400 with pleasure. Of course they will help you there.

Annual reservation

Concurrent bookings of all appointments of a market. The debit occurs in each case 14 days before the market. A blocked place is necessary for an annual reservation (see blocker). All the other rules, are the same as valid it for single reservations (see. A-Z).

- All documents are given to you immediately
- Prize stability is guaranteed for you
- Cancellable single reservation are able on Wednesdays before the respective event without costs

Comfortably and round-the-clock you find all market appointments of course under www.melan.de.

Beyond that, you can also find out round-the-clock the most topical appointments under the telephone number in 0241/18 95 400.

In the newspapers and weekly papers of the respective region you find twice weekly (on wednesdays or on thursdays and on saturdays under the column event tips / cinema programme) announcements with the appointments of the following week-end.

Blocker

The concept "blocker" calls a "regular stand at a market" with Melan". This regular stand is kept on your name till 2 weeks before the market starts. To have a blocker, however does not mean you have a reservation! For which places are free and can be blocked, information can be found with our employees in the reservation office on site or at the markets.

Booking / Reservation

An immediate entrance payment is necessary for the booking / reservation.
You can book / reserve stands as follows:

- By phone, email or fax by debit of an account or a credit card by withdrawal procedure. We need your name, address, telephone number with prefix, market appointment, kinds of goods and number of the desired metres, as well as the data of the bank connection or credit card, so that we can carry out a correct reservation for you. The debit occurs 14 days before the event.

- Personally in our reservation office in Aachen or on each of our markets in the mobile
market office. You can book there on the market day from 6:00 am as well as in each case one day before the market from 4:00 pm to 6:.00 pm on site. (Attention: beside for Aachen Altstadt, Aachen Liebigstrasse and antique markets). The market office is also open on the day of the market till 6:00 pm.

Please check your buildup times from your confirmation. Please follow the instructions of the staff. Only to guaranteed that all necessary escape routes are kept free which save if necessary may save your life!

Cancellation = refusal of an existing booking / reservation

On Wednesdays a cancellation is possible before the event without giving reasons.
Except catering trade and special states. The reservations which are effected thursday, on fridays and on saturdays before the event or on Sundays during an event are not cancellable.
Cancellations for holidays are possible only up to 3 working days before the event.

To be able to carry out the cancellation, we need the original confirmation with the note "cancelation" back.

Already paid stand money (by cash, credit card or debit) is credited to your customer account, or can be directed to future reservations.

About the change of the payment for this future market you will receive from us a written confirmation (copy of invoice).

Late cancellations, all the same for which reason, cannot be accepted. A cash payment of credit or vouchers is not possible.

Car

With a stand length from 4 m, with enough space, you can leave your vehicle with you. The place length is rounded up to full metres. In general it is valid that the vehicle must completely stand on the stand area at least 4 meters, larger vehicles most have at least 5 meters (ect. transporters, bullis). Besides, the car must be parked behind the market stand. Please, inform our employees about the depth of your stand and your vehicle, so that they can select a suitable stand for you. If your passenger car is longer than the stand booked by you, the missing metres are post collected at a price of private junk (e.g.: 2 m booked, passenger car 4 m long = 2 m of post cash).

Attention: with our markets Alsdorf Kaufland, Aachen Altstadt and in the Aachen Markthalle are admitted no passenger car in the stand!

Cashcard /Credit card payment

At all markets and in our reservation office you have the possibility to pay the stand fees with the cashcard or credit card (besides in the Aachen Markthalle, Aachen Altstdt and on the antique market). We acctept cashcards, Maestro, Mastercard and VISA.

Catering trade and special states

Any catering trade (food to go or to the immediate consumption) and special states (as for example flowers, propaganda, key service) are accepted exclusively about our department of special states, phone in 0241/18 95, 411, or email in gastro@melan.de, We would like to ask new customers to apply in writing with entire address, a photo of the stand, a menu, the travel trade map and the hygiene certificate.

Child blanket

Children up to the age of 10 years are calculated after a special price (see topical price-list, not at antique markets). Condition, on this occasion, is that the child is allowed to sell low valued product exclusively typical for child (toys, dolls etc.) in tiny amounts on a cover and is himself present. Child covers cannot be booked as a state enlargement.

Cleaning / environment

Every trader pays a cleaning security with reservation which is refunded to him only with clean abandonment of the marketplace. In this respect we call to your environmental responsibility to remove garbage always carefully and to decontaminate. For the purposes of the places owners, a final cleaning of the marketplaces is always guaranteed.

Confirmation

With every reservation, no matter whether personally on site or by phone, by post, by fax or
by e-mail you will receive written confirmation. It contains beside your address the market, the market date, important information for the market and your stand as well as the mode of payment. Please bring this receipt as an original to the market. With reservation from 3 days before the market you receive the confirmation on site in our mobile market office.

Cooperation advertisement

Corner

With a stand at the beginning or at the end of a row can be based according to local circumstances, "around the corner". For every corner, a corner-all-inclusive is raised according to kinds of goods - no matter whether this is built up or not.

Debit

Deposit

To your stand rent a cleaning security of 10€ is due (except antique markets). Normally you get back this deposit on the market day around 4:00 pm in the office trolley if the place leaves cleanly and properly. The deposit segment of your confirmation must be only stamped for it.

Discount

With an annual reservation with which the whole stand rent is paid for all appointments of a market in one year all at once we grant a reduction of 10%. Besides, the cleaning security is not discounted.

Electricity

The supply of electricity is calculated in general with small consumers about a electricity-all-inclusive price of 10€. With this all-inclusive price you pay not only the consumption, but all service, the engineer on site and the construction.

For special stands or with bigger consumers the costs are determined separately. Please, note that no electricity aggregates are permitted. Should electricity aggregates be still pursued, however the electricity-all-inclusive price becomes due and you have to pay.

The motto of Melan! Whether old or young whether man or woman, person of all nationality can become a trader with Melan. In our reservation office you get help by the start in the junk business with pleasure and informs you competently about the possibilities how you can quite simply earn some euro in addition or become active corporate permanently as a marketeer.

Flags

Under the headword "Flags" Melan offers a special service for traders. With "(advertising) flags" you can mark at the markets special product groups permanently or certain seasonal happenings temporarily. The flags are given only after registration and are promoted by Melan especially.

At almost all our markets there stands our mobile market office. With questions, criticism, suggestions and reservations for future markets you turn to our employees in the mobile office. They will help you with pleasure.

Kinds of goods

Melan distinguishes to the calculation of the stand rent the following kinds of goods:

- PRIVATE JUNK: calls private, used goods in budgetary-customary amounts. You have no special assortment just the results what you found by cleaning out in the cellar.

- PROFESSIONAL JUNK: We call professional second-hand traders (Professionally - junk) who sell the special assortments of used goods (with clear use tracks!). To this kind of goods count also low-valued collector's goods (Ü - eggs) and according to hobby made art craft.

- NEW PRODUCT: We call new product new, also as good as new, apparently unused product. If the products or parts of the product are used, however, the appearance of the new valency seems to be new (newly sealed weld, we calculate big number of pieces of the same article). New product in crushed packaging, Retourware and goods 2nd choice are also a new product.

- TEXTILE GOODS, SHOES, SOCKS, CHEMIST'S SHOP, TOOLS: Textile: everything what you can wear at the body (also care and scarf). Chemist`s Shop (in terms of perfumery): everything that you can buy in the chemist's shop / perfumery, except cleaning material and cleaning supplies.

- CHILD BLANKET: As it already expresses this kind of goods, a blanket is used instead of a table or a state (2x2m). Here exclusively inferior toys typical for child may be sold by children till 10 years of age.

- LIFESTYLE: Under it fall articles of the more high residential ambience and fashion of exclusive brands from the 2nd hand, article and collector's goods with a special atmosphere, e.g., candles, oils of perfume, teddy bears or stylish accessories, how jewellery or belt. Furthermore attractive and demanding fitment and decoration objects or art-hand made products.

- ANTIQUE GOODS: The goods which come from the time before 1930 are admitted.

Main rows

At some markets certain rows are marked as main rows. For these rows a main row surcharge is raised according to price-list per metre. The main rows are marked on our market plans.

Market stand

For the Sunday markets in the Aachen area (except Aachen Old Town) you can rent a market stand. The rent for this amounts to 15€ per stand. The market stand is 4 m wide and approx. 2 m deep. You can book the market stands:

a) with the reservation in the reservation office
b) on site on SATURDAY before the event day

(Market stands of 3 m which can be booked in the reservation office, as well as on Fridays before the event between 4.00 pm and 6.00 pm are available for the Saturday market in Aachen in Liebigstrasse.)
The trader is responsible for the material-appropriate use and has to provide according to weather condition for a suitable connection. Compensation claims of the tenant because of people - or damages to property which are caused by the market stand are excluded towards Melan.

Marketnumber

A number with system: Every market has an unequivocal number. The market number is printed on every confirmation and helps you our debit on your bank statement to assign unambiguously. You find the market numbers also on our appointment calendar.

Melan east

You can only book the markets in Dresden, Meißen and sourrundings with Melan east.

New markets = new locations are promoted by Melan especially and are mostly offered to the introductory price. We inform you regularly on our homepage.

Onsite reservation

On site-reservations in the mobile market offices on the respective event places are possible as follows:

Sunday markets:
On saturdays in the afternoon between 4:00 pm and 6:00 pm and on sundays from 6:00 am to 9:00 am.

Saturday markets Aachen Markthalle:
On Friday in the afternoon between 4:00 pm and 6:00 pm and on satuday from 6:30 am.

Exceptions:

Aachen Altstadt: NO On site reservation!
Mülheim RRZ Antique: on Saturdays before the event of from 8:00 pm to 9:00 pm and on sundays from 7:00 am.

Please note, that there can be long waiting periods for a reservation on site, so, we recommend an advanced booking by telephone.

With the telephone advanced booking you pay comfortably by automatic debit transfer system or credit card and get your confirmation by post.

Cash payment is possible only with reservation on site or during the opening times in our reservation office in the Karmeliterstr. 10 in Aachen.

Entrance on the area is possible from 6:00 am. If an advanced booking exists, you must be at the latest by 9:.00 am on your booked place, otherwise the place can be otherwise awarded.

For traders and visitors enough parking bays are always expelled in the immediate sphere of the Melan markets. In your interest we ask trader and visitor to use only the stated parking bays and to obey the instructions of our market and traffic staff on site always.

Post cash

At the markets your confirmations are controlled by our employees. If the actual kind of goods or metre number of the reservation deviates, this must be post collected accordingly.
Then for that you will receive on site a separate receipt.

Price / stand rent

The stand rents are calculated per running metre (lfdm) for each kind of good. Besides, you can book only "full" running metres. A reservation of 1.5 m is not possible. In general the longest stand side is laid to calculation of the stand rent. The price is regardless of the stand depth.

Each stand will charge a basic charge of 5€ (antique markets 10€).
Every market is assigned to a certain price range which is dependent on different factors like the size of the location, to his name recognition, his situation and means of transport.


Furthermore decisively the kinds of goods elective by you is for the price per lfdm and the location desired by you at the market. Thus there are at different markets main rows which are valid as especially top-selling and are calculated, therefore, with a surcharge.

Other surcharges are raised for a reservation under roof or other special orders:

- Corner = Corner-all-inclusive according to kinds of goods
- Main row
- Clothes stand / product in the way (provided that possibly)

Product / clothes rack in the corridor

If you don’t place boxes, clothes racks or similar items in the way (with the market stand linked), a half a metre price is calculated by the kinds of goods including the possible result of a main row surcharge or roof surcharge. Basically it requires the approval of the market leader (to the safeguarding of the fire entrances) to use this way surface. At our markets in Bochum any product is forbidden in the corridor.

Registration of a business yes or no

The private suppliers who are selling only sometimes used objects they need no Rregistration of a business. The commercial suppliers who offer regularly with lasting profit achievement intention the goods at markets and sell can pursue this within the scope of a travel trade (travel trade maps are to be received with the responsible ordinal velvet of the hometown) or within the scope of a firm trade of a Rregistration of a business (also with the local ordinal velvet).

You can send about the inquiry form to every location (except for markets Melan north, the south and the east) a NON-BINDING RESERVATION INQUIRY. An online inquiry is possible for the following weekend only till friday 3:00 pm. With markets on public holidays till 3:00 pm in each case of the day before. Then you can carry out the booking at certain times the day before of the market or on the market day on site in the mobile market reservation office.

Please, follow the steps with your inquiry on the internet: If you do no booking, you have no reservation for a stand! This occurs only through a phone call and / or a confirmation by our reservation office.

Roof / roof surcharge

Roofed stands are calculated according to market with a roof surcharge after price-list according to running metre. The roofed stands are marked on the suitable market plans.

Running metres

With Melan you book per running metre (lfdm). Only running full metres can be booked.
A reservation of e.g. 1.5 m is not possible.

Sales / sales times

Basically the sales are permitted to the followed times:
Saturday from 8:00 am - 4:00 pm
Sunday from 11:00 am - 6:00 pm (the sales before 11:00 am are forbidden legally)

The sales times are settled official. With contravention immediate place reference and it`s penalties can become due. On the national grief day the sales are permitted only from 1:00 pm. Dead sunday no markets take place.

Stand

Please take your stand number from your confirmation. She contains three numbers: Row - metre from - metre to. You find again these numbers also on the ground of the place. The row numbers are marked by "R" beforehand and every row is numbered serially with the running metres and all three metres a number was sprayed on to the ground.

Stand depth

Please, note that the markets and the single rows and places have different stand depths. Basically we will calculate on places with straight parking bays with a depth of 5 metres, and sloping parking bays with a depth of 4 metres. Rows with less state depth are marked by the addition "without car"or with the metre information of the depth. Our employees in the reservation office will inform you which stand is suited for your state and vehicle to avoid building over in passageways and escape routes.

Stand enlargement

If you liked to increase your booked stand, no basic charge and no cleansing security is raised with this additional reservation.

Times

Please take the drive times, construction times and sales times from your confirmation. Basically the sales are permitted from 11:00 am (on Saturdays from 8:00 am) and in some special cases from 1:00 pm by appointment of the public affairs office.
Please note that it is not allowed to put down vehicles / follower on Saturdays before the event. With offence it is towed to your coast.

Traffic control

Traffic draughts specific for market Melan guarantees the free from problems with arrival and departure as well as the park searching traffic for traders and visitors. Posted signs in the immediate market sphere will direct you the fastest way to the Melan Markets.

Voucher

In the course of one year there are over and over again special actions with Melan to which, e.g., vouchers are enclosed. With each stand only ONE voucher is always redeemable in the ORIGINAL (no copy). The cash payment of vouchers is not possible in general. On already existing reservations a voucher cannot be credited any more. Please, inform our employees before the booking / reservation about the fact that you liked to redeem a voucher.
